The Taurus Moon is supported by the analytical Virgo Moon over the next 48 hours. This greats a double earth vibe that invites your focus towards practical or material matters. This can have to do with stuff, money or your body.
Virgo especially likes to create order, tidy up and streamline, so yes this is a great Moon sign for one of my favourite past times – de-cluttering!
In the past few months a relatively new couch we never really loved had started to fall apart. This morning it was on the street ready for council pick (along with an old toilet we had replaced over the weekend). Totally random bits of old stuff, but it does feel good to get them gone!
That couch has been the bane of our existence almost since we bought it. Fairly early on it started losing its shape, and became a bit uncomfortable, but we stubbornly stuck to our guns. Eventually the frame started to give away and the only thing left to do was turf it. In some ways I wish we’d let it go sooner – we spent so much energy thinking bad, frustrating thoughts about that couch it’s like a weight is lifted now it’s gone.
But back to the astrology. One thing to keep in mind is that any Virgo Moon is ruled by Mercury, and this month, the Virgo Moon is ruled by Mercury-on-Algol. Algol is one of the more difficult fixed stars, which is traditionally about ‘losing one’s head’.
In modern life, I typically see this in clients as heightened stress, worry or anxiety. If you notice a touch of this today, try to breathe deeply and put things in perspective. That said, even with the best intentions to stay grounded, sometimes your emotions will run away from you. In that case, kindness will always be a good fallback, either to yourself for someone around you.
Body therapies can be especially healing with the Taurus/Virgo combination, so consider a massage, or visiting your favourite health practitioner. A walk outside, in the fresh air, is also an ideal Taurus/Virgo remedy.
Over to you – what’s on your oh so practical agenda now?
