Mercury travels through Capricorn until January 19, offering a practical energy to help you start the New Year more organised than ever.
January 1 might not be the most energetically aligned date to start something new on, (check out my thoughts on New Year’s here) however it is a date celebrated by many as a chance to start afresh. This New Year’s Mercury gets on board with your resolutions, as he helps you focus on long term success in the early part of 2013.

The period between January 1 – 19 is all about forward planning. With Mercury in Capricorn you’ll need to carefully consider choices and plans, so that you only commit to what you know is sustainable and manageable.
This is quite a change from the ‘More, more, more’ vibe that has been Mercury in Sagittarius (off and on since late October!).
You might get a reality check about your plans and schedules now. If so, pay attention to it.
