It’s been a (relatively) quiet week on the astro front. Last Monday and Tuesday a couple of Neptune aspects may have lifted your spirits, inspired you to do more of what you love or asked for a more fluid approach to life.
Looking forward we have a series of sextiles to enjoy.
When I teach students about aspects I describe the 60 degree sextile aspect as like two children skipping along together. They have found a way to move easily while staying in contact. This evokes a feeling of flow, ease or support. Planets in sextile connect across signs that share the same yin (feminine) or yang (masculine) quality.
With a series of sextiles marking the next few days life may be smooth, especially in the parts that have previously been rough. A difficult situation may not abate, but it may ease, or your focus may be drawn to a more uplifting topic.
In addition, it’s likely you are still integrating the focussed and goal oriented energy of Mars in Capricorn, which can help light a fire in your heart, or motivate you to take action.
Mars is exalted in Capricorn; you might think of the coolness of earthy Capricorn as having a grounding or stabilising influence on the fiery desires and drives of Mars. This can help with focus, staying on task and achieving your goals, especially the long term ones.
All that said, heading into the weekend there will be a series of sextiles, similar too but in greater number than those sextiles discussed a couple of weeks ago.
First off we have Mercury at 20 Libra sextile Jupiter at 20 Leo. This is actually the third in a three part series, that was also active around September 10 and October 20. Consider this link up the culmination of the past few weeks. Ideas come together, new bonds can be formed and big picture visions (Jupiter) can be grounded in specifics (Mercury). Something you’ve been working towards may come to fruition or a logistical puzzle may be solved.
Next Venus in Scorpio sextiles Pluto in Capricorn, both at 11 degrees. This is seductive, sexy and secretive. Venus may have an ulterior motive in Scorpio, or at least be reluctant to reveal her true motivations. Power, control and intimacy themes may be highlighted. Trust and honesty will support togetherness. For those happy in love it can be a time for deepening your bond.
Mars in Capricorn is also at play, sextiling Neptune in Pisces, both at 4 degrees. When Mars and Neptune combine your intuition can guide your actions, or you may be inspired to stand up for a cause close to your heart. Passions of the spirit may move you. Mars can be brash but Neptune will soften his feisty ways so that progress is channelled into something meaningful. Themes to do with balancing practicalities (Mars in Capricorn) with what feels good (Neptune in Pisces) may arise.
Heading into next week, the Sun at 11 Scorpio will also sextile Pluto in Capricorn, activating themes of power and control, especially to do with leadership. You may need to boldly express your light, or let someone around you know your strength. Business and strategy may be hot topics and you may focus on a long term plan for success.
Scorpio has a diagnostic quality, in that it can cut through to the heart of a situation. Capricorn is grounded and inherently practical so will want to put any new insights to work. A fresh mindset or a renewed sense of what you want to achieve may motivate you heading into next week.
