Full Moon Lunar Eclipse 5 Scorpio
“Emotional intensity and depth are highlighted by this potent Scorpio eclipse. It asks that you turn your attention inwards to discover buried truths. What’s been hidden or kept secret comes to light, as the Scorpio Full Moon helps you lift the lid on life’s mysteries.
A link to grounded Saturn shows reality is revealed, helping you work with what is, rather than get lost in fantasy. Romance is passionate and primed for seduction as Venus and Pluto align across sensual earth signs.”
Planet Tracks: Mercury in Aries, April 15 – May 1 ~ Venus in Taurus, April 16 – May 9 ~ Mars in Taurus, April 21 – May 31
So that’s the short version of my take on this eclipse, which first appeared in my Moon Calendar in the 2103 WellBeing Astrology Guide. Here, I go a little deeper – appropriately so given this is a Scorpio Lunar Eclipse.
In an online radio guest spot over the weekend, (the archive will be here shortly) I succinctly summarised this eclipse as ‘Insight, then release’.
Cosmic Spotlights
Every Full Moon is a cosmic spotlight, sent from the divine to illuminate a topic or theme. That’s where the insight part comes from. But this Full Moon, in Scorpio, shines a light on normally hidden or secret subjects. It brings a short window of time in which peering into the darkness seems appealing. Fittingly, the depths are somewhat obscured – that’s what happens in an eclipse, something we can normally see is temporarily blocked.
My take on this is that we’re both invited into the darkness, but provided an easy out if what we see is somewhat uncomfortable. Given this is the Scorpio Full Moon, there’s truth and honesty to be found, but it’s the kind of truth that can hurt as it makes itself clear.
The Full Moon occurs at –
SYDNEY:5.57am, April 26
LONDON: 8.57pm, April 25
NEW YORK: 3.57pm, April 25
Truth Telling
This eclipse asks that you be brutally honest – with yourself, about a job or relationship or about where your life is headed. The eclipse itself gives you a short time of reprieve, where you can sit privately with any newly uncovered knowledge, mulling over how to best act on it.
Knowledge is not much good unless it informs action, or inspires progress.
And act on what you ‘see’, sense, or come to know you must, as Saturn’s role in this eclipse demands action. Within a few hours of reaching maximum brightness, the Moon bumps headfirst into Saturn, then toddles off to meet the North Node. You experience flashes of your future, as the Moon/Saturn/North Node link teases you in an attempt to draw you forward.
I dived into Saturn in Scorpio and came up with this ebook, which is like a working guide for the Saturn in Scorpio cycle. It’s for all signs!
Saturn in Scorpio asks that no s*** come with you into your future, and so this eclipse can bring recognition about what needs to be let go, released and left behind. Saturn in Scorpio is core stuff and there’s no room for superficiality in your future intensely authentic life.
May you dive deep under this eclipse and rejoice in what you discover buried there.
