On Tuesday the Sun entered Pisces for a four week dance through the world of spirit. This can be a period of day dreaming, inspiration or imagining.
If you know your chart, check out the house ruled by Pisces. These topics will be your most important for the next month.

One of the main aspects of the Sun in Pisces will be its conjunction to soulful, sensitive but sometimes vague Neptune.
The Sun/Neptune pairing peaks on Sunday 23rd/Monday 24th, but we’ll feel it on the approach. The rest of this week may have a surreal quality. You may be called to meditate, write reflectively, swim or create. Details, data and clear thinking may escape you.
This week also marks the change of signs of the North and South Node, from Scorpio/Taurus into Libra/Aries. The nodes change signs about every 18 months.
The Nodes are powerful points, often associated with karma or destiny. The North Node demands more, and the Libra section of your chart will be an area of life where you’re ready to leave your comfort zone for new experiences.
The South Node can bring ties to the past, and ask whether you want to reconnect or release. This will occur in the Aries part of your chart.
If you have any planets in Libra or Aries, they will be activated by the nodes in the coming 18 months.
Mercury has passed the point of no return in his current retrograde, moving behind the Sun after aligning with the Sun over the Valentine’s Day weekend. Demetra George has written a lovely piece about Mercury in her recent newsletter – you can read it online here.
The current Mercury retrograde ends on February 27. March will bring second chances on delayed or stuck matters from February.
On Tuesday/Wednesday Mercury aligns with serious Saturn. This somewhat heavy energy invokes the need to deal with details, double check facts and review the fine print.
I spent much of Tuesday evening trying to sort out a decidedly twisted money matter. This involved numerous phone calls to confirm facts, update details and generally clarify what had been neglected or confused. Things are sorted and straightened out now, to the relief of all.
Perhaps you too got to untangle a messy situation or create new order under this structured and focussed pairing?
The Moon is waning, but still has a lot to offer. You may need to follow suit and share knowledge or complete a project. There may be a sense of urgency to the week as the Moon seeks progress before next week’s dark Moon. Our next New Moon is in Pisces on March 1. (My 2014 Moon Calendar is included in the WellBeing Astrology Guide.)
On Wednesday/Thursday the Moon in Libra aligns with Mars and the North Node. Take action about future or long range goals, but be sure to consider others. A teamwork approach can support progress. Moon/Mars may mean having to cut away someone or something, but in Libra you’ll do so sweetly.
On Friday/Saturday the Moon in Scorpio aligns with Saturn. This may bring a reality check, a need to respect or set limits or the desire to clarify guidelines and expectations. This will have a somber sober quality and suggests extra effort to meet commitments or honour end of week deadlines will be important. You may also find the strength (Saturn) to touch on something deep, powerful or buried (Scorpio Moon).
The rest of the weekend enjoys an uplifting Sagittarius Moon. Combined with the Sun/Neptune alignment in Pisces, there is a sense of adventure, exploration and spiritual seeking that may inspire you to go further than before around a personally meaningful subject.
Over to you! Have you noticed a change in focus now the Sun is in Pisces? Which of the weeks aspects are you most in touch with?
