I know the eclipse is still the talk of the town right now, as well it should be. (Pop over here and here for my thoughts on that!)
However, this weekend brings two other planetary changes that are also worth noting.
Mercury ends his retrograde and Mars changes signs, moving into Capricorn.
In addition to a new lunar cycle beginning (this is a New Moon eclipse!) there is freshness emerging from the cosmos now.
Mercury stations direct about 24 hours after the eclipse, and ends his retrograde on Friday night/Saturday morning. Mercury will be in station – similar to a train sitting in the station, not moving but at least now facing forwards and ready to go – over the weekend.
By Tuesday of next week Mercury will be on the move again. The week ahead will thus bring new information, fresh connections and second chances for recently missed or overlooked opportunities.
On Sunday Mars leaves behind the sign of the archer and gets down to business in Capricorn. By the time Monday rolls around we’ll be infused with a sense of ambition and ready to get to work.
Mars is exalted in Capricorn, and so some of Mars’ better qualities will be available while Mars is in Capricorn between October 26 – December 4.
Check out the house in your chart ruled by Capricorn. This is an area – or two – of your life where you are ready to take action, push for progress or tackle a new challenge.
It’s a bit simplistic, but both these shifts – Mercury direct and Mars into Capricorn – would be considered good, or at least improvements over the current set up (with Mercury retrograde and Mars in Sagittarius.)
Next week the Scorpio eclipse will be behind us and we will be reinvigorated by the new lunar cycle, messages will move more smoothly and Mars will inspire focussed action. Onwards!
What goal would you like to work on with Mars in Capricorn?
