A quick note to say how much fun I am having at NORWAC 2013!
It’s my first time at this conference and it is one of the loveliest. Everyone is very chatty and friendly – I’m told it’s because Seattle is an Aquarius city.
Here’s a snap of me mingling with part of the astro mob (top, L – R Rick Levine, Laura Nalbandian, me, Phillip Sedgwick, Patricia Walsh and Rob Hand!) and post workshop, doing some of that chatting (below).
Reasons to love astrology conferences:
– learning
– networking
– socialising
I’ve been able to put faces to names to people I’d only known on the interweb. If I’ve had a little astro conundrum there are plenty of people to mull it over with. It’s been a treat to teach and throw a few ideas into the collective astro melting pot. And I’ve got to connect with familiar old faces. All in all – LOVELY!
An astrology conference can be like an astro marathon, but this one has a pleasant and enjoyable pace. One thing that’s unique about NORWAC is the option to share a hot lunch or dinner in the banquet room with everyone (and the food is great!). Speakers and first timers mingle over a meal which all adds to the conversation and bonding.
If you’ve not yet been to an astrology conference, I HIGHLY recommend it. There are lots everywhere and a quick Google should highlight what’s on in your general area and when. Even if you have to travel a few hours to get there, take the opportunity. Your astrology practice will thank you for it!
NORWAC 2014 is set for May 22 – 26 – it’s the 30th Anniversary Celebration.
