The pattern breaking eclipse season (April 18 – May 26) has come to an end, suggesting that June brings a return to normal, albeit a new kind of post Uranus/Pluto normal.
So while it’s back to refreshed routines, authenticity remains a priority, as the ongoing Uranus/Pluto square continues to inspire challenge to the status quo.
A number of planets have either just changed signs, or are about to, bringing fresh energy and new areas of opportunity throughout June.Below is a snapshot of what’s on the move and when this month.
Mars in Gemini, June 1 – July 13
Mars brings energy and drive to all kinds of communication, and supports engaging social interactions. This is a light, curious energy that helps you act on your passion for connecting with others, learning and sharing ideas. Mars brings extra energy to whichever house area Jupiter has been expanding since mid 2012. It’s time to act on big plans you’ve been mulling over. This shift also brings welcome relief, as Mars moves out of the sign of his detriment and into a sign where he’s relatively neutral, making it a little easier to express Mars’ energy, fire and assertiveness. Movement for things that have been stuck is also possible.
Mercury in Cancer, June 1 – August 8
Mercury has entered the sign of his next retrograde, hence the extra long visit to Cancer. Mercury enters station on June 10, so try finalise plans or scheduling concerns before then. Afterwards, a flexible attitude helps you make the most of any delays. Mercury is retrograde between June 25 – July 19, which is your next slow down, catch up and review period. I really enjoy a Mercury retrograde for getting caught up on filing, emails and other paperwork. Since I’m less focussed on new business or initiatives, I enjoy channeling energy into following up and revising. It’s a great time to review.
Venus in Cancer, June 3 – 27
Romance and relationships enter domestic territory, where topics about home, family and history feature. Love requires sensitivity and romantic moods may fluctuate. A caring or protective quality is part of affection now, so be prepared to show your soft side. A general profile of Venus in Cancer suggests making your home or living space prettier. If you know the house Cancer rules in your chart, focus on adding beauty, sweetness or compromise into this area of life. Jupiter into Cancer, June 26
Jupiter’s sign change shifts the flavour and feel of the entire year. The second half of 2013 has a more introspective, soft and inward quality, as compared to the first half, which was influenced by the yang energy of Jupiter in Gemini. Cancer is however a yin sign and this highlights the feminine or receptive experience. July is a month infused with water themes, which in astrology means feelings, intuition, creativity, compassion and inspiration. I will write MUCH more on this as it gets closer, but suffice to say one area of life is about to fade into the shadows (the Gemini house in your chart) and one area is about to become top priority (the Cancer house). Shifting opportunities follow Jupiter.
