The Moon is on the South Node, which is a karmic point about release and letting go.

In addition, the Sun begins forming a square to Uranus, (active today and tomorrow). This is a dynamic aspect, full of change and the unexpected. I’m not suggesting a chaotic Christmas – though that’s one possible manifestation – but rather than it’s a year for breaking traditions.
Uranus symbolises the rebel and the revolutionary. You could embrace this energy by drawing on new traditions, embracing the exotic, or just generally turning your normal routines upside down.
Your Uranus survival kit involves being flexible and spontaneous, so if there’s a last minute change of plans, go with it.
(This reminds me of a comment the husband in a husband and wife writing team made, about how if you don’t like what comes up in a writing brainstorming session, you simply say ‘Yes, and….’ and then redirect the energy or focus somewhere you prefer. He says ‘You can’t do anything with a no’. So, keep the ‘Yes, and…’ approach in mind for any sudden surprises!)
