I often get asked if I plan my life according to astrology. In some ways I do – I usually consider the Moon Phase before scheduling a workshop, (Sydney workshop info is here) and definitely used astrological principles when selecting my wedding date – but in other ways, like day to day living, I don’t.
This is not because I don’t think it’s valid – clearly, judging by my profession I do! – but when juggling the logistics of life, family, a business, travel – I sometimes find decisions have to be made according to practical rather than astrologically inspired reasons.
That said, often times, without conscious effort, life seems to be magically reflect the astrological themes.
Take today for instance.
We are under the glowing energy of the Taurus Full Moon. Taurus is a sign associated with the body, and being ruled by Venus, with things that create pleasure or a feeling of comfort in the body. From this we get common Taurus connections like good food and wine, physical pampering like massage or healing tactile therapies.
So, I wake up slowly, for the first time all week. The past few days I have had a variety of early appointments and have had to set an alarm (so rare for me, a definite plus of being self employed!) and be out the door early. But today, there’s nothing in the schedule until late afternoon.
A true leisurely start to the day. Thanks Taurus Full Moon! (Remember, when the Moon is full in a particular sign, more obvious or extreme manifestations of that sign will show up.)
On Facebook, a friend had posted about a yummy frittata, which I thought sounded delicious – and worth the extra effort. So much so I figured I’d make it for breakfast.
While I usually have eggs for breakfast, making a frittata was way more effort than my 12 min hardboiled egg required. On what other day would one take an hour to make breakfast?! A go slow Taurus Full Moon experience indeed!
In fact, I am writing this as the timer on the oven has just dinged.
Later today I have a massage scheduled. Again, if I was a little more thoughtful with astrology, I’d always schedule a massage when the Moon is in Taurus. (This happens monthly so is actually on a do-able schedule!). But today’s massage was originally planned for last week and had to be re-scheduled due to work commitments.
It’s that kind of lovely astrological synchronicity that continues to inspire me. Even without trying, there are many shades of Taurus in my experiences for today and tomorrow. (And this is without even considering the house in your chart triggered by the Full Moon.!)
I am super curious about your experiences. Do you consciously draw on astro factors with your scheduling, or are you more like me, and enjoy the lovely symbolic experiences that magically show up?
