David Beckham has announced his retirement. Naturally I was curious about the astrology. I know he’s a Taurus, but wasn’t sure what else he had in his chart.
As he’s a Taurus, David has Saturn opposing his Sun as it moves through Scorpio. For David, this transit is active between January – October 2013.
Saturn in Scorpio is most active for all fixed signs. My eBook on the subject has more.
Will every Taurus retire as Saturn opposes their Sun? Unlikely! So, why did David?
As those of you who’ve studied with me know, I believe in combining transits with underlying progressed cycles, especially that of the progressed Moon phases.
Progressed Moon Phases
David is currently deep in the Balsamic Moon Phase, a cycle of endings. So, if you are in your progressed balsamic Moon phase AND Saturn opposes your Sun, yes, you are likely to bring about major endings.
After all, when the progressed New Moon kicks in you’re ready for a new 30 year life cycle and may want to go off and try something different. Clearly, David is keen to do just that.
One progression, one transit. Yes, astrology can be that simple.
Anything More?
Is there more change ahead for David? You betcha! His Progressed New Moon happens in Dec 2013, and in 2014 Uranus squares his Saturn in Cancer, which rules his Capricorn MC. Expect change that leads to freedom, and more than a few surprises from David in 2014.
PS
David made the announcement – shared the news – with Mercury on his South Node and the Sun on his Mercury.
