I know, I know. We are only a few months into 2013, but for the life of a horoscope writer, life is often spent in a time warp. While working with clients in the present and near future, I must still keep tabs on the further future, most often for writing commitments.
Each year I sit down around this time and create a 32,000 word collection of horoscopes. In September, they appear in print in the annual WellBeing Astrology Guide. As I’m sorting through major triggers in 2014, a couple of obvious areas of emphasis stand out.
Sign in the spotlight – Libra
– Mars will spend 6 months in Libra, including a retrograde through the early part of 2014.
– in February 2014, the karmic North Node moves into Libra.
– in October 2014, Mercury is retrograde in Libra
Planet in Focus – Mars
Due to his retrograde, Mars covers just over a third of the Zodiac in 2014. Compare this to 2013, where he covers two third of the Zodiac and the contrast is clear. 2013 offers a wide variety of themes to grab your interest and encourage progress: 2014 is more concentrated, with more intense focus required on fewer topics.
In short, focus on the house Libra rules in your chart, and any planets placed in that sign. This area of life demands more energy and effort between Dec 2013 – July 2014.
