The Sun is opposite Mars retrograde today while the Moon is in Sagittarius, applying to a conjunction with Saturn, who is very close to a degree based square to the planet Jupiter. Meanwhile Mercury in Taurus is stationing to turn direct within less than one degree of a perfect trine to Jupiter in Virgo, however the trine will not perfect as Mercury will speed up and move forward again before Jupiter can catch it.

So what does all of this mean?

Here’s what to watch for…

Mercury/Jupiter trine not quite perfecting:

* The power of a message, idea, plan, or approach suddenly sizzling out or doing an about face
* A change of heart or mind about something you were intending
* A hesitation that leads to a reevaluation or reconsideration of something important
* The discovery of a better option, better method, or better idea that interrupts or cancels a transaction and commits to something else
* A great offer at the wrong time
* Carefully scrutinizing a teacher or set of teachings or ideas
* Distancing ourselves from inferior people without being so strict as to lose their usefulness or to make harsh judgments 
* Someone distancing themselves from us creates the need to evaluate ourselves more carefully…or to double down and commit further to our position

The Sun opposite Mars rx:

* I once was lost but now am found, was blind but now I see
* A powerful moment of individuation…I am this and not that…or this is clearly where I’m heading or what I need to do…it’s finally clear to me
* A display of power, aggression, and force
* CNN Image: The US announces it has likely killed a Taliban higher up through an air strike
* Speaking up, receiving a mission or commission from a higher power or authority figure
* A mission or cause coming into focus
Jupiter/Saturn square:
* The young vs old, traditional vs progressive, past vs future
* Conservative vs liberal, establishment vs anti-establishment
* Competing beliefs, ideals, and philosophies
* The old acting immature and young, the young acting curmudgeonly and old
* Progress as something from the past
* Regression as something dogmatically rooted in ideas about progress
* Worship at the altar of the past leads to dogma and prejudice
* Worship at the altar of the future brings the same
* Coming of age, rites of passage, passing of the torch
* Extremism posing as liberalism, fundamentalism posing as moderation…the need for careful discernment
* A possible marriage of opponents or an unlikely strategic alliance

The Moon’s Conjunction to Saturn today:

* A serious, conservative mood
* A focused, mature presentation
* An inflammatory, moody, isolationist attitude
* A dogmatic atmosphere
* A committed and well structured approach
* A public demonstration of fiery Saturn
* The news of death or difficulties in the family

There are obviously quite a few things to think about as most of these aspects will be in view for several more days (and longer with Jupiter/Saturn).
