I am currently attending to one of my kittys.
By ‘attending’ I mean answering almost daily calls from the vet, delivering samples of random bodily fluids for testing, administering antibiotics and monitoring (like a hawk) any changes in behaviour.
I can’t help but notice how my kitty love is being taken to a new extreme under this Full Moon. Yes, I note the Full Moon is Leo (Hello regal king/queen of the jungle, feline extraordinaire) but personally this Full Moon in Leo lands smack bang in my 6th House.
The 6th House is one of those weird places in the chart that take time to understand. When you learn astrology you note it’s about health, work, wellbeing and service. Traditionally it was the house of slaves. A modern spin on this might be your employees, which includes people like the gardener, your massage therapist or your beautician (insert relevant health/beauty/support staff title here). It can also describe those in the trenches with you, so your colleagues or co-workers, like people on the same level, as well as those that might be considered underneath you, if people were in a hierarchy type thing.
The 6th House is also home to pets. Since I have Leo ruling this part of my chart, I do treat my kittys rather well. It’s been said they live in the kitty Hilton, with lots of TLC and crazy cat behaviour by their two legged Mumma to keep them happy, entertained and healthy.
Any Full Moon acts like a cosmic spotlight to help draw your attention firmly into one or another of your 12 houses. This happens by way of topics associated with that house being highlighted or super busy under the Full Moon.
What’s interesting about Leo – and if you don’t yet know the house Leo rules in your chart, take a moment to work it out asap. Got it? Good, let’s continue – is that Jupiter is also in Leo. Jupiter has been in Leo since July 2014 and will remain there until August 2015. So this Leo Full Moon is like a peak point within this longer 12 month cycle. Whatever Jupiter-in-Leo thing you have been working on since mid last year is likely to reach some kind of culmination or flash point this week.
Smudge the cat went to the vet a few months back about a limp. That seems to have gone away, but on her recent annual physical a problem with her tooth and her bladder were identified. After a series of tests it’s been determined she has a bladder infection (2 weeks of antibiotics) and needs to have a tooth removed (temporary antibiotics + xxxy dental procedure). Needless to say she has my full attention and is getting lots of extra cuddles and care.
A Full Moon can do that to a girl (and her kitty!). Thankfully with the right treatment (and a bit of an investment on her behalf by her humans – hello Jupiter!) Smudge is expected to fully regain her health.
Do you know which house the Leo Full Moon falls in for you? If so, can you see any related correspondences in daily life?
In Part 2 of this feature I’ll share my husband’s 10th House Leo Full Moon/Jupiter experience.
