The past few days I have had a jam packed social calendar. It looked a little like this:
Monday – dinner + drinks with friends
Tuesday – lunch with one friend, dinner with a different group of girls
Wednesday – rest day!
Thursday – coffee/snack with a friend
Friday – rest day!
Saturday – lunch social astrology event + dinner/drinks with friends later
Phew! I love a little social time but as someone who also enjoys her quiet alone time this was a b-u-s-y week.
Then I remembered. Capricorn Full Moon.
For me, Capricorn rules my 11th House, the part of the chart connected to friends, groups and general merriment making out in the world. ‘Of course!’ says my astrologer self, happy to have figured out the puzzle.
This simple story is how astrology reveals and connects to daily life. Even though you will know yourself as one sign or another, the reality is we all have every sign somewhere in our chart.
I am not a Capricorn, but Capricorn rules or influences my 11th House. So everything to do with the 11th House has a Capricorn feel, for me (and anyone else who has a Pisces ascendant).
You may not be a Capricorn (odds are only 1/12 of readers are!) but you will have Capricorn somewhere in your chart.
Off the top of my head I can think of my hubby who has Capricorn on the 3rd house (ask him how much extra
driving he has on at the moment – some for work, some for pleasure – but all that to and fro-ing is a distinct 3rd house experience!), and a sister who has Capricorn on her 10th House of Career, and is currently job hunting.
Or, you may be like Prince William and have Capricorn on the 2nd house (money, wealth) or Queen Elizabeth II who has a Capricorn ascendant (1st house, all about you).
Connecting signs to houses is one of the first steps to using astrology for self discovery.
Do you know which house in your chart is ruled by Capricorn? If so, can you see the themes of that area of life showing up under this Capricorn Full Moon?
