On days like these, when the cosmos sings and planets truly do align, I can’t help but take a moment to give thanks.
Right now, I am:
– in awe of my lush, abundant garden. It’s greener than it’s been in the four years we’ve lived here. Shrubs are dense, flowers are lush and trees are green. It’s a small garden but it’s now repaying me for the time, energy and care I’ve shown it since we moved in.
– thankful for my home. Earlier this year, we made the decision to sell, and went through the process of getting the house appraised, listed and market ready. This was intense and more challenging than we expected. Ultimately, a couple of months later we decided not to sell (can anyone say Mars retro in the 8th House?!). We made this final decision for many reasons, but a big part of it was based on the discovery that I am more attached to my little home than I realised. I love my bright sunny office, our gorgeous soaker tub and the close (and heated) bus stop just inside the hospital around the corner.
– grateful that Mars is on the move again!!
It strikes me as I write this, that as happy and full of possibilities the astrology of mid week is, we are nearing the end of the Jupiter in Cancer cycle.
This began in June 2013, and has opened doors to growth, expansion and new experiences in one key area of life.
(If you know your chart, find the house ruled by Cancer – that’s where Jupiter has been for you since mid 2013. If you’re a bit confused about houses, read this free article download.)
By mid July, Jupiter will shift into Leo, taking his energy and sense of optimism with him. This will help you refocus on a new area of life (this time, the house ruled by Leo, and the topics associated with it).
In the meantime, Venus skips along with Jupiter and the two together bring peace, opportunity or a sense of culmination about projects and possibilities you’ve been exploring since mid 2013.
Venus sextiles Jupiter on Wednesday, but the influence of the Pisces Moon on Thursday will extend this happy alignment for an extra day.
When Venus and Jupiter connect, we are truly blessed, for these are the two planets known as ‘benefics’. Borrowing from an earlier post, (how very Mercury retro of me!) called Star of Wonder here’s a bit on benefics:
“Benefic Planets: Hot and Moist
Both Venus and Jupiter are considered benefic or fortuitous planets. This has something to do with their inherent qualities. Both are associated with the hot/moist qualities, which is considered favourable for growth. As both Venus and Jupiter shine their light into the night sky, there are good things brewing, even if you don’t see it yet.”
So Venus and Jupiter have the potential encourage growth, to increase gain, to bring about more than the status quo.
This week we are blessed with a truly divine cosmic handshake, as Venus and Jupiter skip along the ecliptic, energising and encouraging each other.
Both Venus and Jupiter are currently in signs that look to the Moon. Venus is in Taurus, the sign in which the Moon is exalted. Jupiter is in Cancer, the sign which the Moon rules.
As this aspect forms, the Moon is in Pisces, coincidentally a sign traditionally ruled by Jupiter.
If you’re familiar with your chart, locate the houses ruled by Taurus, Cancer and Pisces. These three areas of life are avenues for blessings, opportunity and abundance now.
Your Pisces house (or any planets you may have there) can be the catalyst to creating growth or giving back.
If you’re not that familiar with your chart, never fear! You can try this article, from Wellbeing, which I wrote on the houses and how to use them, or follow the tips below.
The inherent goodness in this aspect suggests it’s a great time to:
– be generous, with your time, energy or contacts
– be kind to yourself. The good life is there for a reason. Enjoy it!
– indulge a favourite pastime or hobby, just because you can.
– focus on pleasure rather than productivity.
– trust your instincts and explore intuition.
– creativity abounds so opt for the artistic rather than the practical choice.
