I was wasting time and browsing the web (after all the Moon is void in Taurus and my massage wasn’t for a few hours!) and stumbled across this. Shake the Dust by Anis Mojgani. He’s a spoken word poet and this one is a gem.
With Neptune stationing (June 1 – 12) the dreams of all await their next turn. Compassion becomes possible as the softness in you recognises the softness in others. This may hit your heart like it hit mine, and perhaps at this time, we will all, like the two year olds, remember how to speak “half-god”.
Some lines from the poem I found moving:
” For the 2-year-olds who cannot be understood because they speak half-English and half-God. Shake the dust.”
“This is for the hard men who want love but know that it won’t come.”
“Do not let a moment go by that doesn’t remind you that your heart beats thousands of times every day and that there are enough gallons of blood to make every one of us oceans.”
“This is for the tired and for the dreamers.”
“So when the world knocks at your door, clutch the knob tightly and open on up. And run forward. Run forward as fast and as far as you must. Run into its widespread greeting arms with your hands outstretched before you, fingertips trembling though they may be.”
What’s being stirred in your soul now?
