This year an indulgent Sun/Venus/Jupiter link formed over the Easter long weekend.
This ‘More, more, more’ energy may have made it hard to resist the abundance of sweet treats. In my week ahead post, I’d suggested channeling this energy into ‘quality over quantity‘.
We had two different celebration meals over the weekend – the double theme being classic Jupiter in Gemini stuff – both of which called for their own decadent deserts. The cake with the eggs, from Nigella – my girl crush, was first up, on Friday night (top left).
Saturday meant a more refined but equally delicious chocolate tart, from Aussie food queen Donna Hay’s book ‘Seasons‘ (right).
I adjusted the base of the tart to make it gluten free, but for the first time ever my meringue fell flat, which I suspect had something to do with the miniscule amount of egg yolk that slipped into the whites.
Nonetheless, it still tasted great – especially when I splurged on my once-a-year chocolate-for-breakfast feast, that is Easter Sunday morning.
How did you go – was it a weekend for carte blanche OTT Jupiter indulgence, or did you splurge on luxury choccy?
