The Aquarius New Moon has arrived, and you may be feeling refreshed, inspired or re-focussed on the future.

Aquarius is a humane sign, like all air signs. This highlights our thinking, talking selves and can energise the mind.
New mental stimulation is the key to making outer changes, so pay attention to the ideas and people who pop into your mind over the next few days.
List making is oh so air, so if you are feeling full of ideas, take a moment to set your intentions for the month ahead. You can do it ritual style, like I recommend here, or on-the-go by sitting quietly with a pen and paper, or even quickly on your smart phone.
Community is a classic Aquarius theme. This morning, being a Tuesday, I had my usual early visit to the chiropractor. Afterwards, instead of racing home, I took time to enjoy a cup of tea and read the paper in a café. I wanted a little of that being-around-people buzz (something clearly lacking when one primarily works at home, alone!). I soaked it all in and loved the social feel, even though I mostly kept to myself.
I invite you to explore community in the coming four weeks, while the Sun is in Aquarius (January 20 – February 18). Open up your circles, or make contact with a new or interesting person or organisation. Then, come share your experiences via the comments below.
Aquarius is the sign of the water bearer. This sometimes confuses people into thinking Aquarius is a water sign.
In fact, the water is symbolic of the waters of reason, that is the water bearer is someone who pours out reason and cool thinking for the benefit of all. You too may gain a clear insight in the days and weeks ahead, or find new insight helps cut through confusion or emotion.
I wanted to highlight Saturn in Sagittarius too. Traditionally Saturn rules Aquarius. This combination creates the cool logic and sharp insight Aquarius is known for. At the time of this Aquarius New Moon Saturn is of course in Sagittarius. (Yes my next eBook will be on this very subject – stay tuned for an announcement later this month!)
This adds a visual, uplifting and action oriented component to the New Moon. Aquarius brings the ideas, Saturn-in-Sag brings the images. Together you have words or conversations that spark progress, and the pictures or mental image to help you stay focussed and take action. If an inspiring image grabs your attention now, try to keep hold of it.
Saturn in Sagittarius asks you to move beyond familiar territory. To journey, search and discover. Being involved with the New Moon (Saturn not only rules the New Moon, it also makes a supportive sextile to it) suggests first steps you take in the next two weeks can help you move ahead on a big picture vision, or a long held life dream.
