Series two finds DS Matilda Stone (Hall) happily settled back in her picturesque hometown of Wildemarsh, working for the Marsh Valley Police alongside her by-the book boss, Inspector Thorne (Martin Trenaman) and her eager police colleague, PC Terry Foster (Michael Elcock). However, it’s not long before the town has a killer in its midst, and as always, her mystery-writing aunts – who believe their knowledge of crime fiction makes them perfectly qualified to help – are on hand to assist in the investigations.
