Saturn and Neptune represent different desires. Saturn craves structure, solidness and wants things to last for eternity. Neptune is nebulous, ever changing and powerful in its ability to adapt. If Saturn is solid rock, Neptune is rain hitting the sto
ne. Saturn would be an earth planet, while Neptune is water. Luckily, water and earth are compatible elements.
When Saturn and Neptune join forces structures shift and adapt. Things that were solid and strong become movable and open to change. Dreams (Neptune) that seemed just fantasy can become real and possible (Saturn).
Saturn can help give Neptune’s dreams and feelings form. This can lead to the creation of inspirational works of art and choices made from the heart that last. Neptune can help Saturn’s sometimes hard, cold edges soften, and open to compassion and kindness.
Some of the difficulties likely during a Saturn and Neptune aspect include general uncertainty, especially about long term choices and plans. Issues to do with leadership, trust and transparency may arise and you may wonder what’s going on behind closed doors. Sadness may arise, especially about necessary changes.
Shape shifting is how I like to summarise any angle between Saturn and Neptune. What’s firm becomes malleable, and what’s hard to grasp can be distilled into a solid essence. An open, fluid and flowing attitude can help you capture something essential, even if it’s as ephemeral as a feeling that helps guide you forward.
