On Twitter today, I heard, via https://twitter.com/shalailah that ‘Australia has one of the highest rates of inter ethnic marriage in the world’.
The astrologer in me was tickled pink – but of course!
Australia has love planet Venus (the ruler of its 7th House of Relationships) in Sagittarius, in the 9th House (whole sign) conjunct quirky Uranus no less.
The 9th House and Sagittarius themes suggest relationships are about adventure, discovery, connections to foreign cultures, and have a lot to do with learning and travel. This is a broad minded, inclusive, ‘takes all kinds’ style of lovin’.
The Uranus influence indicates relationships that are cross cultural, or atypical in some way. This is the realm of unconventional love, according to social or familial norms. It might be love that push boundaries or challenges tradition.
This recent SBS study seems to confirm Australia as a country is true to type regarding marriage, a decidedly 7th House thing.
