I have just one word for this – yoga. I mean, of course I’ll expand, but really, yoga is all I can manage right now.
Since mid 2013 I’ve been dancing with Neptune. Regular blog readers will know I am a Pisces, but, since I was born just before sunrise, I also have a Pisces rising, or ascendant. So I am diving into Neptune’s realm and will stay there for a couple more years yet!
It’s an odd pairing this. The ascendant and Sun can be about your body as much as your personality, and while I want to move, the idea of a run, weights or high energy class is enough to leave me lying on the couch a little longer. (Even though in the past I have LOVED these kinds of workouts.)
Qualities wise, Neptune would be considered cold and wet. Cold influences slow things down, so movement must be measured. When I say yoga, I mean the slow, breathe deeply, stretchy kind, none of this fast~move~rush frantically switching from pose to pose business.
Wet influences like to bring things together, or blob. Imagine a puddle after a rainstorm. It just sits there. It doesn’t move unless outside forces act upon it. Mostly, right now I don’t actually want to do exercise. Instead, I’d prefer to curl up on the couch and read, preferably while eating something sweet. (Sugar has long been my ultimate drug of choice!!)
Years ago, when Jupiter and Mars were together in Pisces, I was like an elite athlete. I ran for 45mins a day, after doing an intense 45 min power walk. After a total of 90mins high energy cardio I’d then stretch and do lunges and push ups for a little longer. I couldn’t get enough of the sweat. (Mars wants the sweat, Jupiter is gimme more!)
But for now, with Neptune in Pisces, the daydream and flow dominates. Yoga is appropriate but I am also loving baths, steam rooms and saunas (aka lazy persons sweat!). If I could get in the ocean and swim I imagine that would be an ideal fit.
Have you noticed your exercise rituals or energy levels change during different transits? Are you have any particular Neptune in Pisces workout fetishes?
