* Altair (α Aql): Although popularly known as one of the major stars in the constellation Aquila representing its "tail," Altair is also considered a part of Draco. It is the twelfth-brightest star in the night sky with a magnitude of 0.77. Altair is a binary star system consisting of a white main sequence star and a white dwarf companion.
* Eltanin (γ Dra): This is the second-brightest star in Draco, with an apparent magnitude of 2.23. Eltanin is a spectroscopic binary star, which means that it appears to be a single star to the naked eye but is actually made up of two stars orbiting around a common center of mass.
* Rastaban (β Dra): Rastaban is the third brightest star in Draco. It is an orange giant star with an apparent magnitude of 2.79. Rastaban is also a spectroscopic binary star.
* Nodus (ξ Dra): This star is a binary star system with an apparent magnitude of 3.75. The primary star is a yellow giant and the secondary star is a red dwarf. Nodus is located near the head of Draco.
