At Christmas I received two beautiful books by writers I love.
One, ‘Small Victories’ by Anne Lamott, I devoured while on holidays. This sparkling book (literally, the cover shimmers) set my spirit alight in all the ways that quality uplifting writing can.
One special quote has stayed with me.
‘We turn toward love like sunflowers……’
I’ve grown sunflowers, often inadvertently as remnants of seed fed to the birds. But they are glorious golden creations.
The head of a sunflower tracks the sun’s path throughout the day, turning to receive maximum warmth and light as the sun shifts.
This quote struck a chord. Our hearts our like sunflowers, turning us towards love.
As the Moon makes her monthly union with joyous and generous Jupiter in Leo, I wonder what love we might each be inspired to share.
