I’m finalising the book reviews for the WellBeing Astrology Guide, which got me thinking, I wonder what astro books you guys are reading, or have loved?
Do you have a favourite you could recommend? Perhaps we could all share via the comments and could all learn from each other?
I’ll go first.
When I was starting out in astrology, I read Shirley Soffer’s The Astrology Sourcebook. I also loved Stephen Arroyo’s Chart Interpretation Handbook.
My book shelf also includes well thumbed copies of Steven Forrest’s The Changing Sky and Bernadette Brady’s Predictive Astrology, which are both excellent resources for those wanting to dive into transits and progressions.
A total love him or loathe him astro writer is John Frawley (I’m firmly in the love him camp!) and his classic The Real Astrology is a must for diehard astrofiends. I love how rich his work is, but sometimes I also laugh out loud at his dry humour!
Anything by Rob Hand is worth having too. History wise, James Herschel Holden is amazing, and I’ve got a lot out of works by Ficino, Maternus and even Plato.
I could list pages of my fave astro books, all for different reasons or topics, but I’d love to hear what’s in your astro library.
